The Lafayette Trail
When the Marquis de Lafayette launched his farewell tour in 1824, one of the stops on his 6,000 mile journey was Clermont. We are delighted to share that we have a new Lafayette Trail sign commemorating the Marquis de Lafayette’s September 1824 visit. A dedication ceremony for this new marker took place in June as part of a Lafayette250 function, honoring Lafayette's contributions to American freedom as the United States marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Indep
