Harmonies on the Hudson presents Nancy Donnelly

Nancy Donnelly, a Crane School of Music alum, is a classically trained jazz and soul vocalist. Nancy furthered her musical studies in Boston and eventually settled in New York City, where she performed in many of the city’s famous jazz clubs, such as the Blue Note, The Village Gate, Iridium, and Birdland. Her captivating voice effortlessly blends classic jazz and contemporary soul, creating an unforgettable experience for her listeners. The Jazz Journal writes: “Nancy Donnelly is a vocalist well worth getting to know.”
All concerts (weather permitting) are at 6 p.m. adjacent to the main visitor parking lot. It is recommended that attendees bring their own seating. Picnics are encouraged!

As a Duo, Christine and Elliot have enthralled audiences with their passion, musical integrity and diverse repertoire (Christine- piano & vocals /Elliot- world percussion kit) and are known for their captivating performances blending jazz, classic pop and original compositions. Their music encompasses the songs and styles from writers such as Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, Laura Nyro, James Taylor, Beatles, Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach, Sergio Mendes, Jobim, Brazilian classics as well as some originals.

Still owned and lovingly cared for by Livingston descendants, this remarkable property will open its doors for a truly memorable experience. Whether you come to play croquet, explore history, or simply relax with friends over a glass of wine, this promises to be an unforgettable afternoon celebrating history, hospitality, and the enduring Livingston legacy.

Lesser Known Revolutionary Figures

Take a walk through Presidential Doodler Heather Rogers' sketchbooks as she shares some of her tidbits, doodles, and observations about a few lesser known figures from the Revolutionary War (including a Livingston or two). She's not even going to mention George Washington or John Adams (OK, she probably will). But join us anyhow!

The American Landscape and National Identity
Saturday, Sept. 19
11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Join us for a talk and workshop by about the history of the American Landscape as a point of national identity and pride. Explore the changing views of the natural landscape as the Hudson Valley became a center for tourism and the ideal subject matter for many early American artists and authors, including Clermont’s very own Montgomery Livingston. This program will include a brief talk followed by plein air watercolor painting in front of the mansion, weather dependent.
This program is free and open to everyone. Clermont will provide student-grade painting supplies. Attendees are welcome to bring their own supplies.

Welcome Fall! Crafty Kids Story Hour
Saturday, Sept. 26
11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Join us for a fall-themed story hour in our recently renovated Children’s Play Area. Librarian Jane Miller will read a curated selection of story books about the changing of the seasons. Then, the Crafty Kids Crew will help kids create autumnal-inspired woodland animal masks.
The Story Hour will begin promptly at 11 a.m. with crafts to follow. This event is suitable for kids ages 3 to 8.
This is a program for children; all children must be accompanied by an adult and all adults must be accompanied by a child. This event is free; reservations are encouraged.
