1
Fall Bird Walk
Saturday, October 3
8 - 10 a.m.
Grab your binoculars and field guides and join us for a fall walk around Clermont State Historic Site with the Alan Devoe Bird Club! We’ll keep our eyes and ears open as we look and listen for fall migrants and waterfowl, like geese and ducks, on the Hudson River. Egrets have even been spotted on previous walks! Bird watchers will meet at 8 a.m. in the main parking lot.
This program is free of charge, but visitors must register in advance.
Thank you to the Alan Devoe Bird Club for partnering with us on this program.
2
Fall Forest Bathing
Sunday, October 4
10 - 11:30 a.m.
Immerse yourself in nature on a 90-minute guided group walk. This gentle experience invites you to pause, notice, and reconnect with nature and “feel” history. We will practice mindfulness and blending elements of breathwork, meditation, and forest bathing with instructor Suzy Conroy.
Suzy runs Terra Trek NY and helps others discover the benefits of nature meditation through guided forest walks. She is certified by the Kripalu Yoga Center as a Mindful Outdoor Guide.
This is an outdoor program. Participants should dress for the weather and wear comfortable, sturdy shoes. We will be walking on uneven surfaces.
Thank you to Terra Trek NY for partnering with us on this program.

Chancellor's Open House Series: Montgomery Place
Saturday, October 17
2 - 4 p.m.
Montgomery Place is one of the Hudson Valley’s most significant historic sites and has a deep Livingston connection. The estate was established by Janet Livingston Montgomery (daughter of Robert the Judge and Margaret Beekman Livingston; widow of General Richard Montgomery). Over generations, it evolved into an extraordinary Hudson River estate, reflecting the lives, tastes, and ambitions of the Livingston family. We are looking forward to this special Chancellor's Open House.
The Chancellor's Open House Series raises funds to support Friends of Clermont's low or no-cost community programs and initiatives. Your gift is 100% tax-deductible.
