The Chancellor's Open House Series raised funds to support Friends of Clermont's low or no-cost community programs and initiatives. All gifts were 100% tax-deductible.
Southwood Estate
We kicked off our series at Southwood Estate in September. The home, located just down the road from Clermont, is deeply tied to the story of the Livingston family. Guests were treated to a lavish party on the back lawn overlooking the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains.
Thank you to our hosts Hart & Dana Perry.

Edgewater Estate
Then, in October, guests enjoyed the rare opportunity to tour the Edgewater Estate. Much like Clermont and the Southwood Estate, the Edgewater Estate is also deeply tied to the Livingston family legacy, and whose history also includes other famous figures such as the Roosevelts. After partaking in a tour of the historic home, guests strolled the sprawling riverfront estate, taking in breathtaking views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains.
Thank you to our host, The Richard Hampton Jenrette Foundation.

Harper House
Later in October, hosts Mary Alden and John White welcomed guests at Harper House, where they enjoyed an intimate brunch and learned about Harper House's first inhabitant: the housekeeper for Ruth Livingston Mills and Ogden Mills.
Thank you to our hosts Mary Alden & John White.

Boltwood House
We kicked off November at Boltwood House with Executive Director Randy Tryon and his spouse, Dan. After touring the charming 1913 center-hall colonial home, guests enjoyed a multi-course dinner and were treated to a round of Clermont-centric trivia!
Thank you to our hosts Randy Tryon & Dan DeBerardinis.

The Dow Van Buren House
We closed the series at the Dow Van Buren House, home to Friends of Clermont board member John Delikanakis and his partner German. Their home has lived many lives, ranging from private home to a tavern; the home even operated as a brothel for a brief period. In its early years, the home had deep connections to the Van Buren family. After a tour of the circa-1795 home, guests enjoyed a multi-course dinner.
Thank you to our hosts John Delikanakis & German Delgado.
