November 2024
Dear Friends,
Â
As we reflect on a successful year at Friends of Clermont, we are reminded of the incredible community that surrounds us and the vital role each of our members, donors, grantors, volunteers, and business partners plays in preserving and promoting our beloved Clermont State Historic Site. In last year's annual appeal, I provided a list of what was to come in 2024. Thanks to your support, we accomplished everything on that list, and so much more. This year, we:
Welcomed Emily Meyer as our advancement manager to help us enhance, diversify, and expand our programs.
Built stronger community partnerships through outreach and engagement with our events.
Engaged with our members and donors with curated activities.
Launched our re-imagined membership program, welcoming over 50 new members since May.
Relaunched our online gift shop and will continue to add new products. The state reopened the Visitor Center gift shop recently, too.
Substantially increased the visibility of Friends of Clermont and Clermont State Historic Site through advertising, in both print and digital, as shown by sold-out programs, and record attendance at events such as our Harmonies on the Hudson concert series.
We also welcomed countless visitors, continued our investment in Harvesting History and the estate gardens, hosted engaging educational programs, and celebrated our historical legacy. It’s been an incredible year! However, to continue our work and keep the momentum going, we need your help.
We are reaching out during this season of giving to ask for your support in our annual appeal. Your contributions will enable us to continue our mission to:
Preserve historic structures:Â Ensure the ongoing maintenance and restoration of our buildings and gardens, keeping our history alive for future generations.
Enhance educational programs:Â Develop new programs and workshops that inspire and engage visitors of all ages.
Expand community outreach:Â Strengthen our connections with local schools and organizations, fostering a deeper understanding of our shared heritage.
Please consider making a tax-deductible year-end gift. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. With your help, we can continue to bring the stories of Clermont to life and inspire a love for history across our region.
Thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission. Together, we can ensure that Clermont remains a treasured resource for all.
Warmest regards,
Randy
