The Chancellor’s Sheep & Wool Showcase 2023
Saturday, April 29, 2023 11 AM-4 PM
Please note: Due to adverse weather conditions, the Chancellor’s Sheep and Wool Showcase 2023 has been canceled. We have made the difficult decision to cancel the event due to steady rain forecasted all weekend. These weather conditions are detrimental to fiber art/wool products and could lead to unfavorable conditions for performers/demonstrators. We are truly sorry and hope that you will join us at future events.
The Chancellor’s Sheep & Wool Showcase is a family festival that celebrates historic fiber arts, culture, and craft. We host a shopping concourse featuring over 30 skilled artisans and local craftspeople. The Showcase boasts over two dozen local vendors, and is a great place to support small businesses! This year, our vendors sell everything from fiber art and wool products, soaps and lotions, jewelry, and even wood-carved products.
As the first of the wool festival season, we are the place to get over your cabin fever with brilliantly colored yarns, roving, and hand-woven scarves. Craft guilds will demonstrate spinning and weaving throughout the day. Herding and sheep shearing—using three different historic techniques!—form the centerpiece of the action. Find crafts for kids, 18th century reenactors, and live traditional music by Tamarack all in one beautiful location. Don't forget--we have crafts for kids of all ages!
For 2023, we're also featuring two great food trucks: Manifest Coffee Truck (https://www.manifestyourcoffee.com) and Pizza Trails (https://pizzatrails.com/), who will have wood fired pizzas and cookies all day!
