5 things we’re excited about

Welcome the arrival of spring this March at Clermont

1

Women's History Month

Celebrate Women's History Month by learning about Clermont's resident sculptor, Alice D.C. Livingston!

In this special presentation, we will discuss a recently unearthed 1928 review of Alice's bronze sculpture and Alice's work as a self-taught sculptor.

2

National Reading Month

March is National Reading Month — the perfect time to pick up a new book from our online gift shop.

3

Hudson Valley Violets

Saturday, March 8

11 a.m.

We are ringing in our spring programming with a special violet-themed workshop.

In this program, visitors will learn about the history of the violet industry in the Hudson Valley and have an opportunity to candy their own locally grown violet!

This event is free for all ages, but space is limited. Registration is required.

4

St. Patrick's Day

Saturday, March 15

1 p.m.

Celebrate Women's History Month and St. Patrick's Day with stories of amazing women and the luck of the Irish! Join us in our cozy children’s space to listen to stories, then learn to make a simple Celtic Knot — a piece of elegant handiwork, traditionally crafted by women in Ireland.

This is a free event and is intended for families and children.

5

Landscape Walk

Sunday, March 30

2 p.m.

Back by popular demand!

Join us for a guided landscape tour and learn how generations of Livingstons shaped the local landscape and communities.

Please note: This event is free of charge. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.
