About the Event

Join one of our interpreters for a walk-and-talk tour of Clermont’s grounds. The tour will discuss the important role Clermont and the Livingston family played during the American Revolution, culminating in the British army assault on Clermont in 1777. Hear stories of the residents of the manor—the Livingston family, the enslaved people, local Palatine tenants and free holders. Comfortable shoes are suggested. There is no charge to attend the program, but visitors must register in advance.

Please note: There is no charge for the event, but visitors must register in advance. Attendance will be limited to aid in social distancing. Clermont follows all NYS Department of Health guidelines for safety during the COVID 19 pandemic. Unvaccinated visitors should wear a face covering when unable to maintain social distance outdoors. Social distancing will be required of all tour participants.
