Clermont SHS Teaching Garden, 1 Clermont Ave, Germantown, NY 12526, USA

About the Event

Clermont Livingston, grandson of Chancellor Robert R. Livingston and head of the estate from 1844-1895, was a gentleman farmer who left us extensive weather journals about his own garden. Those journals guide our vision and work in the garden today. Join us for a family-friendly tour of the Teaching Garden, get tips right out of Clermont’s journals, and see how we’ve combined those methods with more modern practices. Best part? We will harvest veggies from the garden and make our own healthy take-home snack using a bicycle-powered blender. This program is FREE, but registration is required.
