About the Event
With the recent success of our summer wellness series, we are excited to present a new wellness event this fall! Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature on a 90-minute guided group walk. We will be practicing mindfulness and blending elements of breathwork, meditation, and forest bathing. This gentle outdoor experience invites you to pause, notice, and reconnect with nature and “feel” history.
Forest bathing is rooted in the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, or forest therapy, where participants engage with the natural environment with all of their senses. Interacting with the sights, sounds, and smells of nature helps us to practice mindfulness and remain in the present moment. Some studies have shown that forest bathing can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and improve overall cognitive function.
