Join us at the Teaching Garden to learn the ancient art of distilling plant matter. We will learn how to distill 2 products - essential oil and hydrolat (medicinal water) - using a copper alembic still from Europe. This is the same way people have been distilling aromatic remedies for thousands of years! Learn the process from start to finish and bring your own distilled products home.

We are excited to welcome guest lecturer Libby Vlasic, an experienced distiller, certified clinical aromatherapist, and certified herbalist. She has taught a 100-hour certification program, as well as other specialty classes, at the New York Institute of Aromatic Studies in Manhattan and has hosted workshops for brands such as Stella McCartney and NBC. She is a published author and is currently studying naturopathic medicine. Admission is $15 for adults and free for children, ages 8-12. This workshop is not recommended for children under 8 years of age.
