About the Event
August is American Artist Appreciation Month, and the Hudson Valley is home to several very famous American artists! Frederic Church and Thomas Cole – both members of what’s known as The Hudson River School – lived nearby and made their living painting landscapes of this area. Clermont even had a few artists of its own! Montgomery Livingston was a painter and Alice Delafield Clarkson Livingston a talented sculptor. This story hour will celebrate American art and the artist in all of us.
