Friends of Clermont - Special Events and Educational Programs

Steamboat Days will focus on the importance of the introduction of the steamboat into the Hudson River’s maritime industry. Clermont invites vendors and demonstrators of the maritime industry, crafts, and early nineteenth century life to attend. Especially sought are vendors of antique books and prints, toys and gifts of the era, hobby steamboaters, or crafters who can demonstrate the skills necessary to this period of American trade and shipping. Ideas are welcome! Dates for this two-day steamboat extravaganza are Saturday August 18, 11am – 10 pm & Sunday August 19, 11 – 5 pm.
