How to Volunteer

Have you ever thought of adding a new dimension to your life? Volunteering gives a lot of satisfaction and volunteers are essential to the operation of many museums and historic sites. At Clermont State Historic Site, we encourage you to join other volunteers who offer their time and talents in a wide variety of ways inside the mansion, out on the grounds, and off site.

Clermont is a large multi-faceted historic house museum with a variety of opportunities for individuals to contribute their talents and dedication toward serving the community. We sponsor many special events in addition to offering regular tours of both the mansion and the grounds and we welcome the help of interested people to accomplish our educational and preservation goals.

Volunteers are invited to Volunteer Training Sessions in the Spring prior to the start of each new season; sessions are coordinated by our Education Director. Additional training on specific tasks is provided as needed. Volunteers are a valuable part of the team at Clermont, therefore, they are also included in the regional staff training program held annually.

If you are considering becoming a museum volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application to give us an idea of your interests and we will contact you. Simply print the application on your home computer, complete the application and mail it to:
