Saturday June 7, 2008 it's the Hudson Bush Plant Sale & Exchange from 10:00 to 2:00.
We invite you to join us at this year’s Hudson Bush Plant Sale and Garden Exchange. This signature event was established in 1990 by Dr. Norman Posner and Charles Baker at the Hudson Bush Farm in Greenport.
The sale started as an exchange of heritage plant material among local gardeners and became so successful that it outgrew the Hudson Bush Farm site.
Clermont State Historic Site began hosting the event in 2000. Clermont was home to seven successive generations of the Livingston family, from 1728-1962, many of them avid gardeners.
As early as 1810, the gardens of Clermont were noted as perhaps the finest of their kind in America. The Hudson Bush Plant Sale and Garden Exchange is sponsored by the Friends of Clermont and has continued to grow successfully every year.

The event attracts approximately 30 vendors and 2,000 garden enthusiasts a year. In keeping with the style of the Garden Sale founders, our vendors offer a wide selection of heritage and contemporary plant material, much of it locally grown.
Friends of Clermont will be offering plant material grown in our historic gardens as well as unique gardening books and gifts for sale. This year’s plant sale will be held on Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
